E parenti siamo And Relatives We Are

"Stranger" Strangers, foreigners, strangers, who are we?

In the end, we all come from somewhere to belong, uniting us, to a nucleus called a village, city, or town. And time will decide when we won't even be strangers anymore, neither foreigners nor strangers - this is the same circle which always repeats itself. Do we define ourselves as foreigners? Regardless of the language, in one way or another, we have always carried our origin within us, a cultural belonging, a different population.

The exhibition “And Relative We Are” tries to give a vision of that unknown which we carry within ourselves and that is present in our environment: family-wise, socially, and psychologically. The artists will individually address various themes relating to geographic location, identity, border, war, and migration. Themes that still manifest themselves today and show the foreigner that we carry within us.
